〆 Summary of the SHIPS for America Act (April 30, 2025) 〆アメリカのための船舶法、2025年4月30日）の概要

On April 30, 2025 (local time), Democratic Senator Mark Kelly and Republican lawmakers reintroduced the “Shipbuilding and Harbour Infrastructure for Prosperity and Security Act” (SHIPS for America Act) to the 119th United States Congress, both Senate and House of Representatives.

The Act sets out provisions such as “the short-term use of vessels from allied nations, including Japan, under the U.S. flag to secure 250 ships for the United States” and “an annual allocation of $250 million (fiscal years 2026–2035) for U.S. shipyard projects.” Below is an overview of the SHIPS for America Act (April 30, 2025) presented in both English and Japanese.

　民主党のマーク・ケリー上院議員と共和党の議員は2025年4月30日（現地時間）、米国第119代議会、上院・下院に「米国の繁栄と安保のための造船業と港湾施設法」（SHIPS for America Act、船舶法）を再発議した。その中では、「米国の250隻の船舶確保に向け日本など同盟国の船舶を米国籍として短期利用する。米造船所プロジェクトに年間2億5000万ドル（2026～2035年度）盛り込む」などが記されている。以下に英語と日本語の両方で「SHIPS for America法（2025年4月30日）」の概要を紹介する。
