　Ambrey, the UK-based maritime risk intelligence company, issued a threat advisory on 20 July following the Houthi movement’s declaration of a “Maritime Embargo” against Saudi Arabia, warning that vessels linked to Saudi Arabia and ships calling at Saudi ports now face a heightened risk of attack in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

　The advisory is also expected to have implications for vessels involving Japanese companies, as operators may need to verify not only a ship’s flag but also its ownership, operational links, and trading relationships with Saudi Arabia, including departures from, arrivals at, and port calls in the country.

日本関係船にも新たな警戒

　英国の海事リスク分析会社Ambreyは20日、イエメンのフーシ派がサウジアラビアに対する「海上封鎖（Maritime Embargo）」を宣言したことを受け、サウジアラビアと関係する船舶や同国港湾へ寄港する船舶について、紅海・アデン湾で高い攻撃リスクが生じたとの脅威情報を公表した。

　日本企業が関与する船舶についても、船籍だけでなく、所有・運航関係やサウジアラビアとの発着・寄港関係を含めた確認が必要となりそうだ。
