Petrofin Research, the authority on Greek maritime finance led by Ted Petropoulos, has released its report, Key Developments of Greek Shipping in 2024 and Prospects for 2025. Since its establishment in 1998, Petrofin has continuously monitored the world’s largest Greek fleet, publishing regular findings on fleet size and financial structures.

Key Points of the Report
→ In its latest study, Petrofin revealed that the growth of Greek shipowners has slowed, with the number of owners in decline and a marked acceleration of consolidation into major companies.
→ The report also identified investment restraint in dry bulk and tankers, rising orders of LNG and LPG carriers, and lingering uncertainty over fuel transition as distinctive features of Greek shipowners’ investment stance.
