Takayuki Kobayashi, former Minister for Economic Security from Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), announced on the 17th that the government intends to compile a supplementary budget for fiscal 2025 during the autumn extraordinary Diet session, with the aim of establishing a fund to revitalise the shipbuilding industry.

日本の政府与党である自民党の小林鷹之(Takayuki Kobayashi)元経済安全保障相は17日、秋の臨時国会で2025年度補正予算案を編成し、造船業再生に向けた基金創設をめざす方針を明らかにした。

→自民党はすでに6月、日米両政府の関税合意を背景に「日米造船黄金時代」を掲げ、国主導で1兆円超の基金を提案済みである。

→海運業界でも日本郵船会長で日本船主協会会長を兼務する長澤仁志(Hitoshi Nagasawa)氏は、MBJが16日配信した独占インタビューで「風が吹いている今を逃したら、日本の造船業が国際競争力を維持できるか分からない。日本船主協会の会長という立場としても、造船業復活に向け、最大限の協力を惜しまない」として造船業の支援の必要性を訴えており、官民一体の政策形成が加速しつつある。
