NS United Kaiun Kaisha (NS United) announced on the 6th that it had completed the installation of five rotor sails and a shaft generator on the 400,000-DWT ore carrier NSU TUBARAO, operated by the company.

The vessel, built at Japan Marine United Corporation’s (JMU) Ariake Shipyard in September 2020, was equipped with Anemoi Marine Technologies Ltd’s rotor sails (cylindrical wind-assisted propulsion devices, each 35 metres in height and 5 metres in diameter) on 29 October 2025.

　NSユナイテッド海運（NSユナイテッド）は6日、同社が運航する40万トン級鉱石輸送専用船「NSU TUBARAO」（2020年9月、Japan Marine United Corporation（JMU）有明工場で竣工）に、英国Anemoi Marine Technologies Ltd製のローターセイル（円筒型風力補助推進装置、高さ35m、直径5m、計5基）および軸発電機を2025年10月29日に搭載したと発表した。
