MOL held its “Media Gathering 2025” on the 28th at The Okura Tokyo in Toranomon, Minato Ward, Tokyo.

→ At the outset, President and CEO Takeshi Hashimoto, who took the podium, identified the future pillars of management as the “expansion of the LBC Tank Terminals business” and the “full-scale development of the high-end cruise business”. Hashimoto explained that the company executed approximately 2 trillion yen of investment during Phase 1 of the medium- to long-term plan “BLUE ACTION 2035”. He stated, “In the next Phase 2, the biggest challenge will be the monetisation of existing investments and the concrete formulation of a growth strategy”, and expressed his expectation for future contributions.
→ On this occasion, as a first attempt for a media gathering, the company held a discussion session to coincide with the announcement of the seafarer introduction project “MOL CREW”, scheduled to be held in March next year. Speaking on stage were Naomi Matsushima, the first female captain of an actual vessel at the company, and serving second engineer Ryoga Onishi.

商船三井は28日、東京都港区虎ノ門のオークラ東京(The Okura Tokyo)で「メディア懇親会2025」を開催した。

→冒頭、挨拶に立った橋本剛(Takeshi Hashimoto)社長兼CEOは今後の経営の柱として「LBC Tank Terminalsの事業拡大」と「ハイエンド型クルーズ事業の本格展開」を挙げた。橋本氏は、中長期計画「BLUE ACTION 2035」のフェーズ1で約2兆円の投資を実行したと説明。「次のフェーズ2では、既存投資の収益化と成長戦略の具体化が最大の課題となる」と述べ、今後の貢献を期待した。
→今回、同社はメディア懇親会としては初の試みとして、来年3月に開催予定の船員紹介プロジェクト「MOL CREW」の発表に合わせ、座談会を実施した。登壇したのは、女性として同社初の実船船長となった松下尚美(Naomi Matsushima)船長と、現役の大西遼河(Ryoga Onishi)二等機関士。
