AIS data show northbound passage via Hong Kong following late-December collision in the Strait of Malacca

AISデータ、昨年末のマラッカ海峡衝突後に香港経由で北上

According to AIS (Automatic Identification System) vessel-tracking data, it has been confirmed that the 300-metre, 110,525-dwt container ship CMA CGM Niagara (IMO No. 9722675, Malta-flagged, built in 2015) continued navigating even after colliding with the container-laden barge Harbour Jupiter in the Strait of Malacca on the night of December 25, 2025.

→ Following the incident, the vessel called at Hong Kong and is now proceeding northbound towards Ningbo, China.

→ After the collision, CMA CGM Niagara dropped anchor in waters off Nongsa, Batam Island. The Batam Harbour Master and the Port Authority Office (KSOP) responded at the scene, carried out a technical inspection of the vessel, and conducted an investigation into the incident.

AISデータ、昨年末のマラッカ海峡衝突後に香港経由で北上

　AIS（船舶追跡情報）データによると、2025年12月25日夜、マラッカ海峡で全長300メートル、載貨重量11万0525トンのコンテナ船「CMA CGM Niagara」（IMO番号：9722675、船籍マルタ、2015年建造）が、コンテナ積載バージ「Harbour Jupiter」と衝突した後も航行を継続していたことが確認された。

この記事のポイント

→同船は事故後、香港に寄港したうえで、現在は中国・寧波へ向け北上している。

→事故後、「CMA CGM Niagara」はバタム島ノンサ周辺海域で投錨した。バタム港湾長および港湾当局事務所（KSOP）が現場に対応し、船舶の技術検査を実施するとともに、本件事故に関する調査を行っていた。
