On 30 June 2025, “LNG Canada” commenced full-scale operations in British Columbia, western Canada, beginning shipments of LNG to Asia, including Japan. With an annual supply capacity of 14 million tonnes, Mitsubishi Corporation will take approximately 2.1 million tonnes.

２０２５年６月３０日、カナダ西部ブリティッシュ・コロンビア州で「LNGカナダ」が本格稼働し、日本を含むアジア向けへのLNG出荷が始まった。年間1,400万トンの供給力を持ち、三菱商事は約210万トンを引き取る。

→日本は米トランプ政権との合意で総額80兆円規模の投資を約束しており、その一環として電力大手JERAがアラスカLNGから年間100万トンを20年間購入する計画だ。
