Hengli Heavy Industry, a privately owned Chinese shipyard, is achieving an extraordinary surge in the newbuilding market.

According to Clarkson Research, the orderbook at Hengli Heavy Industry stood at 112 vessels as of early May this year. Since then, the yard has continued to accumulate new orders, and its newbuilding backlog, including deliveries scheduled through 2029, is believed to have increased to between 160 and 200 vessels.

Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), the Singapore-based shipowner regarded as one of the world’s most aggressive investors in newbuildings, is expected to have around 30 vessels of its orderbook constructed at Hengli Heavy Industry.

 中国民営の造船所である恒力重工(Hengli Heavy Industry)が、新造船市場で異例の躍進を遂げている。

→英調査会社クラークソン・リサーチによれば、恒力重工の受注残は今年5月初めの段階で112隻だったが、今年はその後も受注を積み重ね、新造船の受注残は2029年までの納入予定を含め160~200隻に増加している模様だ。
