C Transport Maritime Ltd. (CTM Ltd.), a Bermuda-registered dry bulk operator, announced on March 2, 2026 that it has received equity investment from Tokyo Century and Barque AS, led by Norwegian shipping executive and investor Michael Steen-Slands-Bruun.

→ Both companies will become new shareholders and will each appoint a representative to the board of directors of CTM Ltd.

→ Following the transaction, Bretta Navigation Corporation, the existing shareholder of CTM Ltd., will retain a majority stake, thereby ensuring continuity of management. CTM Ltd. currently operates a total of 13 vessels, comprising three Capesize, five Kamsarmax and five Ultramax bulk carriers. The fleet has an average age of approximately two years. A further seven vessels are scheduled for delivery over the coming years, bringing the fleet to a projected total of 20 vessels: six Capesize, seven Kamsarmax and seven Ultramax.

　ドライバルク船オペレーターのC Transport Maritime Ltd.（CTM Ltd.、バミューダ籍）は2026年3月2日、東京センチュリーとノルウェーの海運・投資家マイケル・スティーンスランド＝ブルーン氏が率いるBarque ASからエクイティ投資を受けたと発表した。

この記事のポイント

→両社は新たに株主となり、CTM Ltd.の取締役会にそれぞれ代表者を派遣する。

→本取引後もCTM Ltd.の既存株主であるBretta Navigation Corporationが過半数を維持し、経営の継続性を確保する。CTM Ltd.は現在、Capesize 3隻、Kamsarmax 5隻、Ultramax 5隻の計13隻を運航。平均船齢は約2年と若く、さらに7隻が今後数年内に引き渡される予定で、最終的にはCapesize 6隻、Kamsarmax 7隻、Ultramax 7隻の計20隻体制となる見通しだ。
