Hamburg Positioned as a Hub for Shipping and Finance – German Delegation Highlights City’s Strategic Role in Tokyo Seminar

独ハンブルクは「海運・金融の結節点」、Clyde & Co、Berenberg銀行など訪日団が講演

A delegation from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg held a conference on 27 June at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo (Roppongi) under the theme of “Hamburg and Finance, Insurance, Shipping, and Energy.” The event brought together Japanese stakeholders from finance, insurance, shipping, trading houses, and leasing companies for an exchange of views. Dr Andreas Dressel, Minister of Finance and Districts of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, gave a presentation on Hamburg’s role as a central logistics and maritime hub in Europe.

Speakers and panelists included Dr Clemens Hillmer, LL.M. (UCT), a top-ranked legal expert in maritime and ship finance from the international law firm Clyde & Co; Mr Andrei Moroc, a specialist in ship finance and loan structuring at Berenberg, Germany’s oldest private bank founded in 1590; and Mr Till Gartner from mgm technology partners GmbH, a global software development and IT consulting firm headquartered in Munich.

　ドイツの自由ハンザ都市ハンブルク（Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg）の訪日代表団は6月27日、グランドハイアット東京（六本木）で「ハンブルクと金融、保険、海運、エネルギー」をテーマにカンファレンスを開催した。カンファレンスでは日本の金融、保険、海運、商社、リース会社関係者らと意見を交換。自由ハンザ都市ハンブルクの財務大臣（Minister of Finance and Districts）であるアンドレアス・ドレッセル博士（Dr. Andreas Dressel）が海運や物流として欧州のハブ（中枢）であるハンブルクについて説明した。

　当日は、国際的な法律事務所のClyde & Co（クライド・アンド・コー）で海運・船舶ファイナンス分野に特化したトップランクの法律専門家であるクレメンス・ヒルマー博士（Dr. Clemens Hillmer, LL.M. (UCT)）、1590年に設立されたドイツ最古の民間銀行Berenbergで船舶ファイナンスやローン構造案件の組成・提案を提供している専門家アンドレイ・モロック（Andrei Moroc）氏、さらにドイツ・ミュンヘンに本拠を置く国際的なソフトウェア開発・ITコンサルティング企業mgm technology partners GmbH（エムジーエム・テクノロジー・パートナーズ）のTill Gartner氏らが講師、パネルディスカッションを担当した。
