On-site inspection of Filipino seafarer development reaffirms strengthening of sustainable maritime talent

NYK announced on February 25, 2026 that Mr Arsenio Antonio Dominguez Velasco, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), visited the company’s maritime education facilities on February 18 as part of his official programme in the Philippines.

　日本郵船は2026年2月25日、国際海事機関（IMO）事務局長アルセニオ・アントニオ・ドミンゲス・ベラスコ氏が2月18日、フィリピンにおける公式日程の一環として同社の海事教育拠点を訪問したと発表した。

→訪問先は、船員訓練を担うNYK-Fil Maritime E-Training Inc.（NETI）と、日本の海運会社が設立・運営するフィリピン商船大学の先駆的存在であるNYK-TDG Maritime Academy（NTMA）。
