LPG-fuelled VLGC “ENERGIA GRANDEUR” delivered for French major TotalEnergies, with ammonia transport in sight

MOL announced on the 6th that a newly built LPG-fuelled VLGC (very large gas carrier), ENERGIA GRANDEUR, ordered by its group company MOL ENERGIA PTE. LTD. (Singapore) from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries of South Korea, was delivered on 29 January off Mokpo, South Korea.

When using LPG as fuel, it can reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 20%, and SOx and particulate matter by around 90%. 　商船三井は6日、グループ会社のMOL ENERGIA PTE. LTD.（シンガポール）が韓国の現代三湖重工業に発注していたLPG燃料新造VLGC（超大型LPG船）「ENERGIA GRANDEUR（エナージア・グランデュア）」が1月29日に韓国・木浦港沖で竣工したと発表した。
