Danish shipping major NORDEN announced on 5 November that it has signed a two-year Contract of Affreightment (COA) with Enviva Inc., a U.S.-based producer of wood pellets, for the transportation of wood pellets from the United States to Europe.

→ The transport contract will begin in 2026, involving multiple voyages using Handysize vessels from ports on the U.S. East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico to power plants in Europe and the United Kingdom.
