Japan–Norway Cooperation Strengthened as Decarbonisation and Digitalisation Trends Shared

The Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo (Norwegian Embassy Tokyo) and the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan held the “Norway Maritime Digital Solutions Seminar – Smart & efficient operations for a greener future – use cases & updates from Norway –” at the Norwegian Embassy in Minami-Azabu, Minato Ward, Tokyo, on the 18th.

Key points of this article:

→ Navtor, Dualog, Pelagus 3D, BASSnet, Metizoft and Sayfr, all Norway-based companies working jointly with Japan’s maritime industry on decarbonisation, delivered presentations.

→ Around 75 participants attended, mainly from Japanese shipping companies that have already introduced, or are considering the introduction of, digital systems offered by Norwegian maritime DX firms. The event reaffirmed that Norwegian and Japanese maritime companies will work together to lead the decarbonisation of international shipping.

　駐日ノルウェー大使館（Norwegian Embassy Tokyo）と在日ノルウェー商工会議所（Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan）は18日、東京港区南麻布のノルウェー大使館で「ノルウェー海事デジタルソリューションセミナー」（より環境に優しい未来のためのスマートで効率的な運航－ノルウェーからのユースケースと最新情報、Norway Maritime Digital Solutions Seminar – Smart & efficient operations for a greener future – use cases & updates from Norway -）を開催した。

この記事のポイント

→ノルウェーに拠点を置き、日本の海運業界と共同で脱炭素化に取り組む Navtor, Dualog, Pelagus 3D, BASSnet, Metizoft, Sayfr の各社がプレゼンテーションを実施した。

→会場にはノルウェーの海運DX企業のシステムを導入、もしくは導入を検討している日本の海運会社を中心に約75人が出席。ノルウェーと日本の海運企業が協調して国際海運の脱炭素化をリードしていくことを確認した。
