“NAV9000 Plus” to Further Enhance the Safety Quality of Operated Vessels

「NAV9000 Plus」で運航船舶の安全品質をさらに向上へ

NYK announced on the 17th that it has upgraded its proprietary safe operation standard “NAV9000,” applicable to the Group’s operated vessels, shipowners and ship management companies, and has newly formulated “NAV9000 Plus.” The new standard will be introduced from April 2026.

→ The four pillars of the upgrade are: (1) the formulation of the “NYK Golden Rule,” (2) the introduction of an evaluation sheet, (3) the establishment of an ambassador system, and (4) the optimisation of approaches according to different ship management structures.

→ As of the end of September 2025, NYK operates a total of 934 vessels worldwide, comprising 479 owned vessels and 445 long-term chartered vessels. “NAV9000 Plus” will serve as a common foundation for safe operations across the entire fleet.

　日本郵船は17日、グループの運航船、船主、船舶管理会社を対象とする独自の安全運航基準「NAV9000」を進化させ、新たに「NAV9000 Plus」を策定したと発表した。2026年4月から導入する。
