Kpler data show off-hire losses under firm freight markets hitting owners’ earnings

Kpler 調べ、高市況下でのオフハイヤー損失が船主収益を直撃

According to “Port State Control Monthly Update – January 2026” released by maritime data company Kpler, global Port State Control (PSC) activity in January 2026 recorded 6,438 inspections and 173 detentions, resulting in an overall detention rate of 2.69%.

→ The Tokyo MOU, which accounted for more than half of total inspections, showed an upward trend with a detention rate of 3.23%, while the Black Sea MOU maintained the highest regional level at 3.65%.

→ At a time when freight markets remain at elevated levels, PSC detentions represent off-hire losses of tens of thousands of dollars per day for shipowners, once again putting operational quality and compliance systems under scrutiny.

　海運データ会社のKplerが公表した「Port State Control Monthly Update – January 2026」によると、2026年1月の世界のポート・ステート・コントロール（PSC）活動は検査6,438件、拘留173件で、全体拘留率は2.69％となった。

→検査件数の過半を占めた東京MOUは拘留率3.23％と上昇傾向を示す一方、黒海MOUは3.65％と依然として地域別で最も高い水準を維持した。
