Shimizu Corp will issue a “blue bond”, a type of ESG (environmental, social and governance) bond, in January 2026. The bond will have an issue size of ¥10bn with a planned maturity of five years, and the proceeds will be used to refinance construction costs for a self-elevating platform (SEP) vessel employed in the installation and maintenance of offshore wind power facilities. On December 22, Shimizu submitted an amended shelf registration statement to the Kanto Local Finance Bureau in preparation for the bond issuance.

　清水建設は2026年1月にESG（環境・社会・企業統治）債の一種である「ブルーボンド」を発行する。発行額は100億円、年限は5年を予定し、洋上風力発電所の施工や修理に用いる自己昇降式作業船（SEP船）の建造資金の借り換えに充てる。12月22日、清水建設は社債発行に向けた訂正発行登録書を関東財務局へ提出した。

この記事のポイント

→ブルーボンドは、海洋環境の保全や持続可能な海洋経済活動に資する事業を対象とした社債で、洋上風力など海を舞台とする脱炭素投資を金融面から支える手法として注目されている。
