Japan’s shipbuilding industry faces a critical juncture at the G7 Summit, scheduled to take place in Kananaskis, Alberta, from June 15 to 17.
Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump on May 23, lasting approximately 45 minutes.
The two leaders agreed to hold a summit meeting with the aim of cooperating in the shipbuilding sector, on the premise of collaboration in the field of economic security in light of U.S. tariff measures.

　日本の造船業が6月15日から17日までアルバータ州カナナスキスで開催されるG7サミット（第51回首脳会議）で正念場を迎える。

　石破茂（Shigeru Ishiba）首相は5月23日、トランプ米大統領と電話で約45分間会談した。

　両首脳は米政権の関税措置を巡り、経済安全保障分野で協力していくことを前提に造船分野で連携するため首脳会談を行う。
