The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued a maritime security alert on 11 June, advising all commercial vessels navigating the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Strait of Hormuz to exercise heightened caution. The move comes amid escalating military tensions between Iran and Israel, coupled with the gradual withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Middle East.

Car carriers continue to avoid the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, as before. For tankers, we are currently monitoring the situation.”
