Yasushi Kaneko, MLIT, visited the Marugame Headquarters of Imabari Shipbuilding, Japan’s largest shipbuilder, in Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture, on the 22nd.

　金子恭之（Yasushi Kaneko）国土交通相は22日、国内造船最大手である今治造船の丸亀事業本部（香川県丸亀市）を視察した。

この記事のポイント

→日本政府が前日の21日に決定した総合経済対策（閣議決定）では、造船業界が3500億円、政府が同規模の基金（3500億円）を設定し、官民合計7000億円＋金融支援で1兆円規模の投資を目指す方針が盛り込まれたばかりだ。

→視察後、金子氏は23日早朝自身のXで「造船業は、海に囲まれた日本の経済安全保障にとって欠かせないもの」「大胆で戦略的な設備投資を、官民の力で強力に進めることが必要だ」と強調した。
