K Line names LNG carrier TOHO EMERALD for Toho Gas　川崎汽船、東邦ガス向けLNG船「TOHO EMERALD」命名

Group operates 53 LNG carriers, with 15 newbuildings due through fiscal 2027

グループでLNG船53隻運航、2027年度までに新造船15隻竣工へ

　Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K Line) said on September 10 that it had named TOHO EMERALD a new liquefied natural gas carrier that will transport LNG for Toho Gas Co., Ltd. The naming ceremony was held at Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. in South Korea on September 9.

　As of the end of June 2026, the K Line group operated 53 LNG carriers. A further 10 new LNG carriers are scheduled for completion in fiscal 2026 and five in fiscal 2027 as the company strengthens the foundations of its LNG transportation business.

川崎汽船、東邦ガス向けLNG船「TOHO EMERALD」命名

グループでLNG船53隻運航、2027年度までに新造船15隻竣工へ

　川崎汽船は10日、東邦ガス向けの液化天然ガス（LNG）輸送に投入する新造LNG船を「TOHO EMERALD（トーホー・エメラルド）」と命名したと発表した。

　川崎汽船グループは2026年6月末時点でLNG船53隻を運航している。今後、2026年度に10隻、2027年度に5隻の新造LNG船が竣工する予定で、LNG輸送船事業の基盤を強化する。
