Atty. Iris Baguilat of Döhle Seafront Crewing (Manila) Speaks on the Magna Carta for Filipino Seafarers

Skuld Japan held a series of Loss Prevention Seminars in Imabari and Tokyo, coinciding with the Bari-Ship maritime exhibition in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, which opened on 22 May. The events attracted a combined total of over 110 participants.

Atty. Iris Baguilat, President of Döhle Seafront Crewing (Manila) Inc., delivered a lecture on the Magna Carta for Filipino Seafarers. Shun Nagamatsu provided insights into the Magna Carta from the perspective of a P&I (Protection and Indemnity) Club, while Dick Farrel Camoying gave a presentation on biofuels.

The Magna Carta for Filipino Seafarers came into effect in October 2024. It aims to bring the rights and welfare of Filipino seafarers in line with international standards, including those set by the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).

Skuldジャパンは５月２２日から愛媛県今治市で開催された海事展「Bari-Ship」に合わせ、今治と東京でロスプリベンション（損害防止）セミナーを開催した。両会場合わせて110名以上が参加した。

フィリピンのDöhle Seafront Crewing（マニラ）社の社長であるアイリス・バギラット（Atty. Iris Baguilat）弁護士は、フィリピン船員憲章（Magna Carta for Filipino Seafarers）について講演。また、Shun Nagamatsu氏がP&I（船主責任保険）クラブの視点からこの憲章について解説し、ディック・ファレル・カモイン（Dick Farrel Camoying）氏はバイオ燃料に関する発表を行った。

フィリピン船員憲章は2024年10月に施行され、フィリピン人船員の権利と福祉を海事労働条約（MLC）などの国際基準と整合させることを目的としている。
