According to the Indian Coast Guard, an explosion and subsequent fire broke out on board the Singapore-flagged container vessel Wan Hai 503 (IMO No. 9294862, built in 2005, 4,252 TEU, 51,300 DWT) on June 9, 2025, in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Kerala, southern India. The vessel is owned and operated by Wan Hai Lines, with ship management handled by Wan Hai Lines Singapore Pte Ltd.

The deck fire continues at the incident site, and approximately 40 to 50 containers are believed to have fallen overboard. Some of these may have contained hazardous materials, raising concerns over both environmental and safety implications. The incident occurred shortly after the sinking of the MSC Elsa III, once again drawing attention to safety standards on South Asia’s maritime routes.

インド沿岸警備隊によると、2025年6月9日、インド南部ケララ州沖のアラビア海上において、シンガポール船籍のコンテナ船「ワン・ハイ503」（IMO番号9294862、2005年竣工、4,252TEU、51,300重量トン）で爆発と火災が発生した。同船はWan Hai Linesの自社船で、運航もWan Hai Linesが担当。船舶管理はWan Hai Lines Singapore Pte Ltd（シンガポール）が行っている。
