A very large crude oil carrier (VLCC), Idemitsu Maru, beneficially owned by Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. and operated and managed by Idemitsu Tanker Co., Ltd., was confirmed to have transited the Strait of Hormuz between April 28 and 29 and is now sailing towards Japan. The transit by a Japan-linked vessel has thus been realised.
