Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY), Bahrain’s state-owned shipbuilding and repair group, and Priya Blue Group, a major ship recycling company based in Alang, India, have formally launched a new ship recycling joint venture in the Gulf region.
Interest in ship dismantling and recycling businesses is also gradually increasing within Japan. Companies including NYK, Ohno Kaihatsu, Shimbun Corporation and Gifukinzoku have begun moving into related sectors, although the industry at present remains largely driven by private-sector initiatives.

バーレーンの国営造船・修繕会社Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company(ASRY)と、インド・アラン(Alang)を拠点とする船舶リサイクル大手Priya Blue Groupが、湾岸地域で新たな船舶リサイクル合弁事業を正式に始動した。
