　Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is expected to announce plans to formulate a comprehensive co-operation programme aimed at strengthening the economies and energy supplies of Gulf countries when she addresses the UN General Assembly in New York on the afternoon of September 22, or the morning of September 23 in Japan, against the backdrop of tensions in the Middle East.
