　Greek dry bulk major Star Bulk Carriers is to list its shares on Euronext Athens in Greece while maintaining its listing on the US Nasdaq. It plans to issue up to 4.4m new shares, raising as much as €112.2m.

　A Japanese shipbuilding executive interviewed by Maritime Bridge Japan (MBJ) said: “If Star Bulk directs the proceeds towards vessel acquisitions, this could create opportunities for Japanese shipowners to sell second-hand vessels from their fleets. If it chooses to invest in newbuildings, it could also become a potential customer for Japanese shipyards.”

　ギリシャ系ドライバルク大手スター・バルク・キャリアーズが、米ナスダックへの上場を維持したまま、ギリシャのユーロネクスト・アテネにも上場する。最大440万株を発行し、調達額は最大1億1,220万ユーロとなる見通しだ。

　

Maritime Bridge Japan (MBJ)の取材に応じた日本の造船所幹部は、「スター・バルクが調達資金を船舶取得に振り向ける場合、日本船主が保有する中古船の売却機会につながる可能性がある。新造船への投資を選択すれば、日本の造船所にとっても潜在的な商談先となり得る」と指摘した。
