Maritime, port, classification, finance and research bodies join discussions on “benchmarking”

海運・港湾・船級・金融・研究機関が参加、「ベンチマーキング」で議論

Blue Visby Solution, which aims to develop a voyage optimisation system to reduce “wasted emissions” caused by vessels waiting to enter port, held the “Blue Visby Solution Forum in Tokyo” on the 16th at the Otemachi Financial City Conference Centre in Otemachi, Tokyo.

Key points of the article

→ The forum was hosted by the Development Bank of Japan, with the main theme set as “Deployment & Avoided Emissions Framework”. Discussions focused on benchmarking (establishing and evaluating standards) for decarbonisation by linking data from the maritime sector, individual ports and related actors.

→ On this occasion, the Blue Visby Consortium, together with Carbon Trust, a member of the consortium, developed an “Avoided Emissions Framework” enabling quantification of the emissions reduced or avoided through the use of the Blue Visby Solution. Around 100 participants attended, mainly from the 44 companies that now make up the consortium.

　船舶の入港待機による“無駄な排出”を減らすことを目的とした航行最適化システムの構築を目指すBlue Visbyソリューションは16日、東京都大手町の大手町フィナンシャルシティ・カンファレンスセンターで「Blue Visby Solution Forum in Tokyo」を開催した。

この記事のポイント

→今回のフォーラムでは日本政策投資銀行が主催となり、メインテーマを「Deployment & Avoided Emissions Framework（導入・回避排出量フレームワーク）」に設定、海運や各港湾、データを連携させ脱炭素化に向けベンチマーキング（基準策定・評価）に焦点を当て議論を展開した。

→今回、Blue Visbyコンソーシアムは、コンソーシアムのメンバーであるカーボン・トラストとともに、「回避排出量フレームワーク」を開発し、Blue Visbyソリューションの活用によって削減・回避される排出量を定量化できるようにした。会場には現在44社となっているコンソーシアムのメンバー会社を中心に約100人が参加した。
