Fleet Maintained at 18 Vessels as Greek Owner Reaffirms Commitment to Japanese Shipbuilding

18隻体制を維持、日本造船への信頼を改めて強調

Greek shipowner IONIC is maintaining a cautious stance towards fleet growth despite buoyant tanker markets and historically high asset values, according to Chief Executive Officer Dimitri Frank Sarakakis.

Speaking to Maritime Bridge Japan, Sarakakis said the company currently operates 18 vessels following the sale of an older ship, while four new tankers remain under construction at Japanese shipyards. Although tanker earnings remain strong and ship values elevated, he believes current newbuilding prices do not justify aggressive expansion.

　ギリシャ船主IONICのディミトリ・フランク・サラカキス最高経営責任者（CEO）は、タンカー市況が好調で船価も歴史的高水準にある中でも、船隊拡大には慎重な姿勢を維持していることを明らかにした。
