Itochu Corporation recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ZETA Bunkering Pte Ltd (ZETA, Singapore), has obtained trial approval from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) for the demonstration and provisional operation of ammonia bunkering for marine fuel supply.

Under the project, the company plans to conduct a ship-to-ship (STS) ammonia bunkering demonstration off Singapore in the second half of fiscal 2027, targeting an ammonia dual-fuel Capesize bulker jointly owned by MOL and Belgium’s CMB.TECH.

伊藤忠商事はこのほど、同社100％子会社であるZETA Bunkering Pte Ltd（ZETA、シンガポール）が、シンガポール海事港湾庁（MPA＝Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore）から、アンモニアバンカリング（舶用アンモニア燃料供給）の実証および暫定操業に関するトライアル実施認可を取得した。

同社は今回、商船三井がベルギーのCMB.TECHと共同保有するアンモニア二元燃料ケープサイズバルカーを対象として、2027年度後半にシンガポール沖でSTS型アンモニアバンカリング実証を行う計画だ。
