　Qatar, one of the world’s leading exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG), is taking the unusual step of procuring US LNG to supplement supplies to customers in Asia and elsewhere.

　Qatar, which has built one of the world’s largest LNG carrier fleets, is now unable to export sufficient volumes of its own gas and is instead delivering US LNG to customers around the world, creating a logistics structure that would previously have been difficult to envisage.
