James Shelford氏に聞く、REEF成長戦略とクミアイ・ナビゲーションとの連携、カナダ産LPGの対日供給

　AltaGas sees Japan as one of its most important and longstanding international markets as the Canadian energy infrastructure group expands LPG exports from Canada’s West Coast to Asia. The company says its new Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF), combined with its existing export platform and partnerships with shipowners including Kumiai Navigation, will strengthen its ability to supply Japan with reliable Canadian LPG.

　In an interview with Maritime Bridge Japan (MBJ), James Shelford, Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, AltaGas, discusses the strategic importance of Japan, the company’s investment in REEF, its partnership with Kumiai Navigation and the role of VLGCs in connecting Canadian LPG supply with growing Asian demand. He also explains how AltaGas sees Canadian LPG contributing to Japan’s energy security and diversification of supply.

　カナダのエネルギーインフラ大手アルタガス(AltaGas)は、カナダ西岸からアジアへのLPG輸出を拡大する中、日本を最も重要かつ長期にわたり取引を続けてきた海外市場の一つと位置付けている。新たな輸出基地Ridley Island Energy Export Facility(REEF)と既存の輸出プラットフォーム、クミアイ・ナビゲーション(Kumiai Navigation)などの船主との連携を通じ、日本へのカナダ産LPGの安定供給能力を強化する。

　AltaGasのSenior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officerを務めるJames Shelford氏がMaritime Bridge Japan(MBJ)のインタビューに応じ、日本市場の戦略的重要性、REEFへの投資、Kumiai Navigationとのパートナーシップ、カナダ産LPGとアジアの需要地を結ぶVLGCの役割について語った。日本のエネルギー安全保障と供給源の多様化に、カナダ産LPGが果たす役割についても見解を示した。
