United European Car Carriers (UECC), which specialises in short-sea car carrier and RoRo transportation in Europe, announced on 13 January that Toyota Motor Europe (TME) reduced its Scope 3 emissions by more than 22,000 tonnes in 2024 on a CO2-equivalent basis through UECC’s fuel-switch programme, “Sail for Change”.

→ According to UECC, during the five-month period from August to December 2024, UECC vessels transported 54,991 finished vehicles for TME, resulting in emissions savings totalling 22,148 tonnes of CO2e.

→ UECC is a joint venture equally owned by NYK and Sweden’s Wallenius Lines, specialising in short-sea vehicle transportation within Europe. Established in 1990 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the company currently operates around 16 PCTCs optimised for European trades.

　欧州で短距離での自動車船輸送やRoRo輸送を手がけるUECC（ユナイテッド・ヨーロピアン・カー・キャリアーズ）は13日、トヨタ・モーター・ヨーロッパ（TME）が同社の燃料転換プログラム「Sail for Change」を通じ、2024年のScope3排出量を2万2,000トン超（CO2換算）削減したと公表した。

→UECCによると、2024年8〜12月の5か月間にUECC船でTMEの完成車5万4,991台を輸送し、削減量は2万2,148トンCO2eに達した。

→UECCは、日本郵船（NYK）とスウェーデンのWallenius Linesが50％ずつ出資する合弁会社で、欧州域内の短距離自動車輸送を担う専門船社。1990年設立、本社はノルウェー・オスロに置き、現在は欧州向けに最適化したPCTC約16隻を運航する。
