環境省・国土交通省の採択、2038年までに建造率100%を目指す
Asakawa Shipbuilding (headquartered in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture) announced recently that, following its selection in December 2025 for the “Project to Promote the Construction of Zero-Emission Vessels and Related Ships” led by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, it will invest approximately ¥2.8bn to strengthen its shipbuilding framework for next-generation fuel vessels.

→ Through this round of capital expenditure, Asakawa Shipbuilding will enhance its capability to accommodate new fuels such as ammonia and hydrogen, centred on three major investments: the reinforcement of outfitting cranes, the installation of new outfitting platforms, and the introduction of new manufacturing equipment.
→ With the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) target of achieving zero greenhouse-gas emissions “around 2050” in view, the company plans to begin building zero-emission vessels and related ships from around 2030, and aims to achieve a 100% build ratio by 2038.

浅川造船(本社・愛媛県今治市、Asakawa Shipbuilding )はこのほど、2025年12月に環境省・国土交通省が推進する「ゼロエミッション船等の建造促進事業」に採択されたことを受け、約28億円を投じ、次世代燃料船の建造体制を強化すると発表した。
この記事のポイント
→浅川造船は今回の設備投資で艤装クレーンの増強、艤装プラットフォームの新設、製造設備の新設という三つの大型投資を柱に、アンモニアや水素など新燃料への対応力を高める。
→同社は国際海事機関(IMO)が掲げる「2050年頃までにGHG排出ゼロ」の目標を見据え、2030年頃からゼロエミッション船等の建造を開始し、2038年までに建造率100%の達成を目指す。
