 商船三井は2日、ブラジル資源大手ヴァーレ(Vale)向けに、エタノール、メタノール、重油の3種類の燃料を使用できる世界初の「3元燃料」仕様の21万重量トン型鉱石専用船を投入すると発表した。グループ会社MOL Ocean Bulk(MOLOB)が鉱石専用船2隻について25年間の鉄鉱石長期輸送契約を締結した。
